It’s a Wonderful Life, a Live Radio Play! Th, Fri, Sat, Dec.17-18-19, 7:30 p.m.

The AHS Drama Guild is happy to announce our first streamed performance of the school year (and of all time), It’s a Wonderful Life, a Live Radio Play! The play is directed by drama teacher Michael Byrne and runs for about one hour.

You can register for the live-streams using the links below. You’ll have to sign up for an account on Broadway On-Demand in order to access the stream. (Please reply to this email if you have any questions about that process.) Tickets are $10/person or $25/household.

We recognize that the Broadway On Demand website can be difficult to navigate. At the time of the production, you can use the same link you used to pre-order a ticket in order to access the stream.

We have over 40 students involved in this production, and they are eager to share their work with you! We would really appreciate your support as we create theater to bring some joy during these difficult times.

Thank you,
Lianna Bessette

Anti-racism Mural Completed

I am excited to share with you the recently completed mural through the everyday anti racism group, a sub committee of the student, staff, administration Antiracism Working Group. A group of students spent a lot of time over summer planning this out with the support of art teacher Ms. McCulloch. The image is of former student Doralee who spoke at the rally at Town Hall over the summer led by BSU alumni.
Those who attended the rally found her speech particularly moving and created this illustrative drawing that we turned into a mural, with her permission of course. Students painted the entire thing coming into school and safely socially distancing over the past month or so.  It is on a movable canvas and will likely be moved around as the building project progresses. We hope it will be the first in a series of student led mural designs to come that speak to the community we seek to create at AHS.
